Chocolate Toothpaste Tutorial

Here you go!

I made a biscuit base in a tin like this. This one is a 20cm square tin. Make sure the tin is non-stick. You can also make this with short crust pastry too, but I prefer using a biscuit base. I use Hummingbirds sugar biscuit recipe but I don't add the cream of tartar.

Now, weigh out 150g skimmed milk powder

Then add 85g icing sugar to the skimmed milk powder.

Then add 85g Marg to the skimmed milk powder and the icing sugar

Then add about 2-3 tbsp coca powder to the skimmed milk powder mix

Now, boil the kettle.  Once the kettle is boiled, get your electric mixer ready

Add a little splash of water to the mixture. Less is more. Start off with a tiny bit and then add until you have a thick, pouring consistency.

Pour the toothpaste over the biscuit base and then put it in the fridge to set.

Cut into squares and top each square with a swirl of dream topping or butter icing.

Chocolate Toothpaste

This is a Bedfordian thing, and I have made some today. I have also done a picture tutorial, and will post it on here later when I upload the pics.

Oreo Cupcakes

I made these for the shop after seeing a fantastic recipe in a book that I was given for my birthday.

I have injected the cakes with oreo butter cream frosting and topped each one with the frosting and half an oreo cookie.

MJ's Car

I made this for my daughters 5th Birthday. She loves Justin Bieber, so we had his rice paper face stuck onto the window.

Fit for a Princess

I made this cake for a special little girls birthday.

Hen Night Cake

I made this for my best friends Hen Night.

I loved doing this one, it was so much fun and my first real step into modelling from sugar paste. I realised that I'm much better at it than I thought I would be!

Crumalicious Cakes

I guess it's every bakers dream, to open their own little bakery and bake delicious cakes for everyone to enjoy.

This dream has become a reality for me. I have opened a shop called Oh Crumbs! on Mile Road in Bedford. It's a cute little sandwich bar and bakery. The sandwich part is for my husband to run, whilst I concentrate on the baking side of things.

I make made to order cakes for any occasions. Designs are unlimited, the cake will be made just for.

I also make and sell beautiful cupcakes. Loads of different flavours, loads of different designs. The possibilities are endless.

I'm aiming to share my designs with you in this blog.
